April 11, 2008- BLS Unit Gets CPR Save

At approximately 5:05 am, District 4 BLS 17 was dispatched to a report of difficulty breathing. While enroute, the assignment was up graded to CPR in progress. The Coventry Circle resident intitially had Piscataway Police start CPR, and with a tag team effort between the Police, BLS 17 & Med Rescue 1 out of Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, the patient had a strong pulse when the crew transfered care to the JFK Medical Center Emergency Room. Members invovled in this save were EMTs, N. Patel, S. Szary and Fire Capt. C. Mateyka. Great job everybody!
