April 27, 2008- Cancer Walk Stand By

North Stelton BLS Unit 17 with Lt. P. Visoskas and FF/EMT V. Covino stood by at the local annual cancer walk. The walk kicked off at the Rutgers Athletic Center (R.A.C.) and wound its way through Johnson's Park, before ending back at the R.A.C. North Stelton's very own FF N. Higgins participated. There were different games available, along with food, a D.J., and tours of different apparatus. Agencies involved were as follows: North Stelton Vol. Fire, Holmes Marshall Fire, Rutgers PD and EMS, Sayreville FD, River Road Rescue Squad, and Middlesex County OEM. Despite the rainy weather, everyone in attendance enjoyed participating in the event.
