August 18, 2008- Cover Assignment in New Market

 

On August 18, 2008 at approximately 08:30hrs 1 engine was requested from District 1 to respond to Lorel for the Acetic Acid spill with several people overcome. Engine 622 responded with a crew of 3 and Asst. Chief McDermott met them at the scene. The crew performed FAST Team practices for Haz Mat while they made entry and then assist in the decon when the crew exited the structure. All units were back in quarters by approximately 11:45 hrs.
